I love making clothes, always have. Right from dressing my Sindy dolls as a kid, to gothing up my Miss Selfridge outfits as a teenager
My first line of clothing was called Spanbodywear, waaay back when furry hotpants and legwarmers dominated the clubbing scene – I’m not actually sorry to see the back of all that fake fur…

Turns out, fake fur and a whole load of other materials are pretty devastating for the environment, so this time round, I’m trying to be much more responsible for the footprint I leave on planet earth. I am in no way perfect but am trying my best to create a sustainable range of clothing using a mix of organic fabrics and vintage / recycled items. You can check out my sustainable fashion write up in my blogs for more details. Above all HannahSouthsea clothes are fun and easy to wear, certainly won’t go unnoticed in a crowd, and are available to everyone, whilst respecting the resources of the planet we live on.
Many of the items are recycled from gems I find in charity shops, vintage and second hand stores, so really are one offs. I often have an idea in mind, and by the time I’m finished, I’ve made something completely different. And if you see something you like, and it’s not in your size, give us a shout. I may just have that waistcoat in stock, and can patch it, wing it or bleach it to your requirements!
Thanks for visiting, boss the look and love the planet!
